Project Richard 6 – water for people of Kenya.

Project Richard 6 – water for people of Kenya.

Project implemented in MUANI, in the eastern part of Kenya. Giriama people. August 2020.

The objective of the project was to build a toilet and a septic tank. In August 2020, I came to the aid of the family of twin sisters Margaret and Magalen. Their hut is located in Mnarani, about 60 km north of Mombasa. The girls’ mother, 30-year-old Reheme, died in July 2020, six days after giving birth. The girls, like Reheme’s other three children, were cared for by their grandmother, who had no means of subsistence and was heavily afflicted. The neighbors shared water with her and helped as much as they could. The family also depended on the neighbors’ hospitality whenever they needed to use a toilet. I decided to take care of them. I sent the first funds for food and during our meeting I pledged permanent help. Additionally, I decided to implement project number six – construction of a septic tank and a toilet building. Moreover, a month after finishing the Project, we recovered rainwater from the toilet roof.

The toilet is used by Reheme’s children and her mother.

Currently, the children are covered by partial Adoption of a Heat – wonderful people from Poland have offered educational support for all five siblings.
